The second version of the Prince Gloria, the BLSIP-2, went into production in February 1960. As with the previous Gloria, the car was essentially an upmarket version of the more basic Skyline model. The biggest change for 1960 was to the headlights. The previous Gloria had two headlights, whilst this new model had a quad headlight front end. The shape of the grille opening remained the same as the earlier model, but the new car has a different grille that now has six thick horizontal bars, unlike the previous car which had thirteen thin horizontal bars. As with the 1959 car, it had PRINCE spelled out in individal gold letters at the bottom of the grille.
The other big change was a complete redesign of the rear of the car. The previous model had it's stop lights mounted at the top of the fins at the back of the car. This model instead has the tail lights mounted very low, just above the bumper bar. The fins are now capped off with a stainless steel trim that travels from one fin down under the boot lid opening and back up the other side in a U shape.
There is a badge in the moddle of the boot lid that says "Prince" and to the right of that there is a "Gloria" badge. The panel between the tail lights, just above the bumper, is covered with a shiny metal trim on the Gloria, on the Skylines this area is painted the same colour as the rest of the car. The trim along the side of the car remains unchanged from the previous model.
Mechanically it remains the same as the earlier model, and continues to use the FG4B-30 1862cc OHV 4 cylinder engine, which produced 80hp. This engine was also known as the GB30. This car remained in production for only one year, when it was replaced by the more powerful BSLIP-3 Gloria in February 1961.
There were no variants of the Gloria.
The Gloria used the same body as the ALSI-2 series Prince Skyline.
